The Soil Science Society of Georgia consists of approximately 140  members. The objectives of the organization are: - to promote the accumulation, dissemination, and utilization of knowledge pertaining to the soils of Georgia - to provide a medium for exchange of information  by those interested in Soil Science and closely related areas

We have an annual fall meeting in Athens, GA each year.  We also sponsor a number of training sessions that provide education credits for certification.  We are currently promoting Georgia Senate Bill 95 which will establish a Board of Registration for Soil Scientists.
